Proposed Medicare Changes May Affect Patient Access to Advanced Wound Care

Some proposed changes to Medicare may affect patient’s ability to receive the most effective treatments for their wound care.

The potential implications of this Local Coverage Determination (LCD) on Skin Substitute Grafts/Cellular and/or Tissue-Based Products for the treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFU's) and Venous Leg Ulcers (VLU's) mean that certain products would not be available to patients, including the grafts currently used to efficiently treat wounds.

There is action you can take to ensure these products remain available to the patients who need them the most.  You can help by submitting your name and state using the form below, which we will use to submit a letter of public comment on your behalf.

Please fill out the form below by June 8th, to help voice the concerns of patients and providers across the country about the lack of effective options available, should these policies be approved.
